"Each year billions of disposable diapers enter landfills where it takes hundreds of years for them to decompose, if ever." ~Heather McNamara, Executive Director of the Real Diaper Association
Please join us on April 20, 2013 to help spread awareness of reusable cloth diapers. Now in it's third year, the GCDC intends on setting a new record for the number of babies changed into reusable cloth diapers, around the world! The change occurs at exactly 11:00am so please plan on arriving at 10:15 so that you can register and prepare yourself to change your baby. Last year we had 27 participants changing babies at 8am and fortunately for us this year, we don't have to get up so early! I hope to double our record this year and put Alaska on the map for cloth diaper awareness!
A few Guiness REQUIREMENTS:
1) Baby being diapered must be 39" tall or shorter.
2) The clean diaper must be 100% reusable and commercially available.
3) The changing area is only accessible to changer and changee.
I will be looking for a few helpers also! I will be in need of at least one overall independent witness and one other independent witness. The witnesses must be independent of me; not personally connected. If you or your significant other would like to volunteer as a witness please contact the store for more information.
If you have interest in joining GCDC and would like to learn more, please contact the store for more information. To pre-register for the event, follow the link below and complete the registration form.
